What we collect
- Couples: your name, email address and password (stored as a one-way hash), or your Google account email if you sign in with Google.
- Your wedding: names, story, events, photos, gift details and settings you enter.
- Your guest list: the names, phone numbers, seats and sides you add.
- Guests: the name, reply, number of people and message a guest sends, and any photos they upload.
- Wedding businesses: the business's name, what it offers, prices, photos, contact numbers, website and social media links, and the email address of the person who runs the listing. Everything except that email address is shown on the business's public page.
- Payments: the amount, method, status and the phone number used for an EcoCash payment. We never see or store card numbers; card payments are handled by Paynow.
- Technical: a session cookie to keep you signed in, a security cookie to protect forms, and basic request logs. When you open a business's page, a cookie remembers that for one day, so that the business's count of visitors counts you once. It holds no information about you.
How we use it
- To show your wedding page to people who have your link.
- To show replies to the couple.
- To take payment for the upgrade or for a business's paid year, and keep accounting records.
- To keep the service safe, review reports and remove content that breaks the rules.
- To email you about your account, such as sign-in codes.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use guest phone numbers for marketing.
Who can see a business's page
A business's page is public once we have approved it, and search engines can find it. We count how many times the page is opened each day and how many people tap to message the business, and show those totals to the business. We do not tell a business who visited.
Who can see a wedding page
Wedding pages are hidden from search engines. Anyone who has the link can open a published page, unless the couple sets a passcode. Guest lists and replies are visible only to the couple and to our support staff when needed.
Who we share with
- Paynow, to process payments for the upgrade and for a business's paid year.
- Our hosting, storage and email providers, who process data on our behalf.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your wedding and guest data until you delete your account. Payment records are kept as long as accounting rules require, without your guest list or photos.
Your choices
- Edit or remove any detail, guest or photo from your dashboard.
- Delete your account from the Account page. This removes your wedding page, guest list, replies and photos.
- Guests can ask the couple to remove their details, or contact us.
